Before I was a painter, I was a speaker. I trained extensively in speech and dramatic interpretation of literature, devoting countless hours to competition and the disciplined honing of craft. This work was repeatedly recognized at the highest levels. Through that discipline, I learned how meaning can be carried through inflection, cadence, restraint, and pause. I
learned how to hold intensity without excess, and how precision sharpens emotional power.

I see now that I never left that language behind.

My paintings are an extension of that same interpretive practice. What was once expressed through voice and presence is now translated into paint. Tone becomes color. Inflection becomes gesture. Silence becomes space. Whether quiet or forceful, my work is guided by intention, control, and emotional conviction.

My practice spans a range of expression, from restraint and subtlety to moments of heightened intensity, shaped by the same underlying discipline. Each work is an offering, formed through attention and commitment, and meant to be experienced rather than explained.
